The Football Groom

I enjoyed this story from the first page to the last.

There are lots of fun twists and great chemistry between the characters.

They have emotional hurdles to overcome and some top notch kisses to share before they sort out their HEA.

Great pacing and plenty of tugging at your heartstrings.

Word of warning. If you enjoyed this story, DO NOT read the preview chapter for the next book. It ruined this one for me. It might do the same for you.

The Owner's Secret

I'm a fan of Ms. Montpetit. She tells such great stories.

I loved the way the two leads come together. In a hurricane at a restored plantation.

So many twists and turns I didn't see coming that bring them together and drive them apart. Excellent pacing.

This one will keep you turning pages to see how they finally get to HEA.

Kiss me at Midnight

Ms.Whitney is an excellent story crafter.

This is a well told second chance romance with plenty of emotional baggage that characters must overcome to get to HEA.

Mix in a cute kid, an aquarium, and a beach and let the fun begin.

Another wonderful addition to the Romano family series.

Worth the Risk

Heather B. Moore is consistent at turning out a clean and wholesome read with heart, and this book starts another excellent series.

This was a fun read with enough twists to keep me turning pages. I enjoy a great second chance romance and this is just such one.

Read how Alicia and Jeff overcome their pasts and their emotional baggage to make a path forward together.

Marrying the Beast

Ms. Livingston creates an imaginative retelling of Beauty and the Beast in this fake relationship, clean and wholesome romance.

There's lots of tension, emotional baggage, and hope for the future even when their dark pasts rise up and threaten their happily ever after.

A sweet read that will satisfy all.

What Alice Forgot

This was a book club pick that I read as an audiobook.

The premise is fascinating. A woman sustains a head injury and believes she's ten years younger with all the hopes and dreams of the future that carries. What she faces is a hard dose of reality of how those ten years turned out. And it's not so happily ever after.

A great novel of discovery as we see through Alice's eyes what she's prioritized and how, without her memories, she chooses to prioritize her life moving forward. There are plenty of heartwrenching moments, like not recognizing her children, the failure of her marriage, and the mystery around Gina that the author breaks up with the humor that losing ten years of your life would ensue.

What was most important to me was that Alice learned and grew through this experience. Thank you Ms. Moriarty for succeeding on this point. The other plot point I had my hopes pinned on was the reconcilation of the marriage. You'll have to read the book to see if this aspect was a success or failure.

This novel is well written and worth the read/listen. It will have you reflecting on how you might want to reprioritize your life.

The Maid

This was a book club pick or otherwise I would've missed out on this excellent read.

Please note that I listened to this as an audiobook and though the narrator was spot on. She excellently conveyed the tone and thoughts of our heroine, who has some interesting quirks to her thoughts, language, and personality.

Important background was sprinkled throughout the story, but there were still some smaller mysteries left to the reader at the conclusion of the book that required one's own intellect to solve. Or your friend might have a different defendable opinion.

Very satisfying read.
